Calm and Happy...except for those shots!

Tysen is growing up so quick! He is now 11lbs 8oz and 24 inches long. He had his two month immunizations this week - ouch! He did not like it at all - poor baby. Afterwards he slept a lot and was fussy. Add that to the medicine he has for the thrush in his mouth - not a happy camper. But the next day - he's back to his calm and happy self. I swear he has the opposite of ADD! He can sit in his swing and stare at those toys for hours! He also loves to lie in his crib and watch the mobile go around. We've established a pretty good pattern during the day - eat, play for 1/2 hour and then sleep for an hour. Repeat as necessary. At night he goes to bed around 9:30pm and sleeps until 2 am. After eating a couple ounces he will then usually sleep until 5am. At this time I give him a bottle and then take him to our bed to snuggle. Most days we sleep until 7 - 7:30am. It's nice to be at home (after all those vacations) and get into a routine.
I've added some more pictures of Tysen in his file on webshots. (Click the picture to the left).

Say Cheese!

I have posted our vacation pics - some in Tysen's album, some in a couple new ones.

Happy Trails

We just returned from our two week camping trip - a looonnnggg time to camp with a baby! Tysen did very well - he's an expert camper (be eating or sleeping when there's work to be done)! We left PG on July 17th and went to: Lac La Hache, White Rock (also Richmond, Surrey, Mission, etc), Victoria, Ucluelet (Long Beach, Tofino), Qualicum Beach, Gibsons & Chilliwack. It didn't rain once!! For two whole weeks! Most of the time is was really hot with bright sunny days. It was a little cooler in Ucluelet - which we were grateful for by then! The tent-trailer tended to get pretty hot during the day - thank god for breezy beaches!
Tysen is growing - he's outgrown most of his sleepers, mostly in length. He's also eating around 6-7 oz per feeding! He outeats his cousin Gabby! Unfortunately I've had to put him soley on formula because my milk has dried up (who knows why?). He is on a soy formula (Alsoy 1) because he was reacting badly to the milk based formula (Similac). He is a happy little boy who sleeps quite well during the day and okay at night too! LOL He has started smiling alot and even laughs in his sleep sometimes. So far he enjoys lying on his back more than on his stomach. He has managed to roll himself onto his stomach once (purely by accident) and then be mad because he couldn't roll back. He likes to look at his toys, but doesn't grab them yet.
We are just so thrilled with everything he does. It's an incredible thing, this mommy thing.
